Be Positive But Not HIV Positive

1. The first confirmed case of AIDS in the United States, a 15-year-old male who died in 1969.

2. HIV was officially discovered and had started spreading at dangerous levels in New York City and Los Angeles in 1984.

3. There are currently about 34 million HIV/AIDS-infected people in the world.

4. The "patient zero" of HIV was Gaëtan Dugas (1953–1984) a Canadian who worked for Air Canada as a flight attendant.

5. The "patient zero" is the initial patient in the population of an epidemiological investigation (first patient that initiates the outbreak)  "Patient zero" was used to refer to the index case in the spread of HIV in North America.

6.  Gaëtan Dugas was portrayed as having almost sociopathic behavior, by allegedly intentionally infecting, or at least recklessly endangering, others with the virus. He claimed to have had over 2,500 sexual partners across North America since becoming sexually active in 1972. As a flight attendant Dugas was able to travel the globe, at little cost, to such early HIV epicenters as London and Paris in Europe and Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco in the U.S.

7. Dugas refused to stop having unprotected sex, claiming that he could do what he wanted with his body ---> the most selfish person the earth ever produced.

8. James Franco played Scott Smith, a gay right activist for his romantic relationship with Harvey Milk in 1970s (watch Milk to know further, it is such an amazing movie - minus the gay part). Smith died because of AIDS years later.

Tak baik jadi gay. Grrr.
Maha Suci Tuhan yang telah menciptakan makhluk-makhluk semuanya berpasangan; sama ada dari yang ditumbuhkan oleh bumi, atau dari diri mereka, ataupun dari apa yang mereka tidak mengetahuinya. - Yaa Sin, 36.
9.  1 in 5 sexually active gay and bisexual men in America are HIV Positive.

10. Watching this video somehow breaks my heart as most women are innocent yet they have to suffer (blame the reckless husbands and rapists).
